The Trust has its own kitchens based at The Vaynor First School, where high quality meals are cooked, wherever possible, from locally sourced ingredients. Our cook, Sophie Cardy, and her team, pride themselves on cooking most food from scratch. Children enjoy the meals and their opinions are sought when amendments are made to the menu. So, for example, on the request of the pupils, jacket potatoes find their place on our menu as they said they would enjoy them.
Crabbs Cross Academy also receives these freshly cooked meals, transported by our staff in the school vehicle and served from a newly refurbished servery kitchen.
